Sweet News from the Market

Mead

This weekend will be the last market in January, and we’re ready for another delicious weekend—we even have new vendors joining the fun. No matter what your appetite, we’ve got you covered.

We’re proud to announce that Sap House Meadery from Center Ossipee will join the Sunday market. A small producer of premium, hand-crafted meads (honey wines), Sap House Meadery uses only time-tested traditional methods and procures ingredients from local farms and markets. Their award-winning meads are created with “a passion for the land and in homage to the bees that keep the land going.”

In other sweet news, Winnipesaukee Chocolates from Wolfeboro will also join the Sunday market. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of tasting their “locally crafted chocolate indulgences, make sure you stop in for a treat. Using the finest ingredients available, they carefully blend a uniquely different combination of chocolates with ingredients like coffee, tea, spices, naturally dried fruit and freshly-toasted nuts. Each bar is mixed, molded and wrapped by hand and each bite will have you swooning with delight.

With February just one week away, the sap will be flowing sooner than we think—is that sweet news, or what?

Please continue to spread the news about the Tilton Winter Farmers’ Market and plan to support the market this weekend. As always, bringing a friend or two is the best way to show our vendors that you love them! See you at the market!

Market Planning in Full Gear!

BREAKING NEWS: See above post for 2013 plans. We’re back in the old Agway building!!

It’s happening, and it’s going to be better than ever! Planning is not only underway, but in full gear, for the 2013 Tilton Winter Farmers Market season.

The market will be in a new, convenient location, just around the corner from the 2012 location. If you’re familiar with the area, the new location is just behind and to the left of last year’s spot. It’s within shouting distance of Lowes, Pizza Hut and MB Tractor & Equipment—with super convenient access from Route 3 in Tilton, New Hampshire. Plenty of parking, too!

Vendors are already clamoring to sign on for the season, following on the amazing success of the first year. There’s even talk of offering the market on BOTH Saturday and Sunday this year! Stay tuned, and mark your calendar: the 2013 season will begin on January 5 and will run all the way through March 30. As if that’s not great enough, there’s even a chance of beginning earlier with a few Holiday markets, and running later, into April.

In the mean time, have a look at some scenes from the 2012 Tilton Winter Farmers Market season, and dust off those shopping bags. You’ll be needing them soon!
