What an amazing and successful first day!

The Tilton Winter Farmers Market opened today to more than 1,000 shoppers (easily—we couldn’t keep up with counting!), kicking off the winter farmers market season with enthusiasm and cheer. The market venue was perfect: three spacious rooms for vendors, lots of sunshine and plenty of room for shoppers to stop for a chat with their neighbors. Lively, toe-tapping market music was provided by Réagánta, a New Hampshire Celtic group. (View the video for a sample.) Samples of all kinds of goodies were available for tasting—something to satisfy everybody.

Thanks to all the wonderful vendors and volunteers who made today such a success. Thanks also for the generous support of AutoServ of Tilton. We’re off to a great start!

If you missed it today, the Tilton Winter Farmers Market will be happening every Saturday in January, February and March, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. See you there!

The start of the new year brings new excitement to central New Hampshire, with the brand new Tilton Winter Farmers’ Market opening this coming Saturday, January 7. Promising more than 35 vendors, this market will be offer local vegetables, meats, cheeses, dairy products, baked goods and more….much more!

Vendors and shoppers alike can help to spread the word about this new market. Please e-mail a few friends, customers or coworkers right now, so they won’t miss out. Joan has been busy over the last few weeks securing advertising, arranging for live television spots and handing out fliers wherever she goes. She’s been making lists and checking them at least twice, to make sure all details are in place.

Spread the word, and make sure to mark your own calendar for Saturday, January 7. Make sure you bring a friend, too. See you there!

Great news! No more lugging tables back and forth!

Space will be available between markets for vendors who want to store their tables. Joan has been on location, measuring and checking details to make sure that the first market on January 7 goes off without a hitch. She worked out a plan for table storage between markets, making it a little easier for vendors to focus on bringing their wonderful products to market, without worrying about carrying tables back and forth each week.
